The Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Police Brutality and Related Matters set up by the Imo state government has submitted its report to Governor Hope Uzodinma.
The commission was set up last year following the nationwide #ENDSARS protests.
The panel was inaugurated following the directive of the Federal Executive Council.
Members of the panel were drawn from the church, civil society and youth organisations, judiciary, security agencies among others.

Submitting the report to Governor Hope Uzodimma at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Owerri, Chairman of the Commission, Justice Florence Duruoha-Igwe speak on the Commission’s findings.
The Chairman also urged Government to implement the recommendations to restore public confidence in government.
Receiving the report, Governor Uzodimma promised to study the findings to enable government know not just the cause, but also the level of damages to lives and property.
Uzodimma however assured the Chairman and members that Government would implement the recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry.
