Frontline presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, says Nigeria currently needs someone with the capacity and dynamics of leadership to pull the country out of its security, socio-economic and socio-political challenges.
The former Vice President who said this when he received the leadership of the PDP from the North Central Zone in Abuja said the country has never been as divided along ethnic, religious and regional lines as it currently is under the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
Nigeria is currently at a crossroads and many believe that only a leader who understands the dynamics of leadership and with the capacity to stir the country’s sinking ship.
An ex-officio from Niger State almost broke down in tears while recounting the security situation in her home state.
Other party leaders from the zone also expressed concerns over the deteriorating security and economic situation in Nigeria.
A letter of appeal and appreciation was presented to the zonal party officials present at the meeting.
