The labour party has suspended the national youth leader of the party, Eragbe Aslem.
His suspension follows recommendations of a report by the disciplinary committee of the Party’s national working committee after its investigation on an alleged fund raising and youths summit by Aslem without approval.
In a statement signed by the national secretary of the party, Umar farouk, Aslem has been suspended for six months.
The Labour Party also appointed Kennedy Chigozie Ahanotu as the acting national Youth leader
The suspended national youth leader, who is also the senatorial candidate of the party for Edo North, Eragbe Aslem described the suspension as illegal.
He said the party was in haste to suspend him.

In a letter written to the party national chairman Julius Abure, and copies to security agencies and other relevant stakeholders, Aslem asked the party to reverse the suspension.
