The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has suspended activities at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport after a cargo Airliner crash-landed on Wednesday.
The Aircraft belongs to Allied Air with registration number 5N-JRT.
One of the officials who is currently on ground and preferred to remain anonymous told ait.live that the aircraft got stuck near the runway after skidding off during landing, forcing them to shut down the airport pending when the plane would be removed.
The aircraft had reportedly experienced a tyre burst and failure of one of its landing gears after it landed.

Officials of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Nigeria Airspace Management, NAMA, Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau, NSIB and others are currently on ground to find a quick solution on the matter for the resumption of airport activities.
As at the time of filing this report, all entrances to the airport terminals have also shut down as many air travelers are now stranded and waiting outside the terminal for the next line of action from the authorities.
