Over eighty pharmacies involved in the sale of substandard medicines and unwholesome operational practices in parts of Delta North have been sealed by the pharmacy council of Nigeria, PCN.
This was disclosed by the PCN enforcement team after its routine monitoring exercise in Asaba.
The four-day enforcement exercise was conducted across five local government areas in Delta North.

According to the pharmacy council, the enforcement was necessary to safeguard public health and prevent the circulation of substandard medicines.
Over three hundred patent medicine stores and eighty one pharmacies were sealed by the PCN.
The council believes that sustained collaboration with all stakeholders is critical to ensuring effective and quality assured medicines for Nigerians.
