Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Umar Damagum will not be stepping aside anytime soon. This is because the party’s National Caucus has agreed that the issue of leadership be de-escalated until the party unites considerably.
Briefing journalists after its closed doors meeting, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba emphasised the decision of the National Caucus to ensure peace in the party
Ologunagba also hinted of the move to reconstitute a disciplinary committee in line with the existing rules of the party

The Caucus also approved that the party’s congresses be held between June and August 2024.
Leaders of the PDP are also expected this Thursday, April 18, for a larger deliberation on extant issues in the party.
