Mixed reactions have continued to trail the resignation of the former governor of imo state Emeka Ihedioha over the lingering internal conflicts within the PDP’s national leadership.
Reacting to the resignation, some electorate in owerri the state capital, described the action as a personal decision which may be the result of several issues he had during the state’s party congress.
According to them, the former governor should have waited for the national reconciliation panel for amicable resolution before the resignation

The Acting state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party imo state Chidi Dike in his reaction, confirmed the resignation of the former governor but argued that the resignation of the former governor will not affect the fortunes of the party since he chose not to give room for reconciliation
But the stage is however set for reconciliation of all aggrieved members of the party before the 2027 governorship election in the state even as the next move of the governor Is not yet clear.
