The House of Representatives primary elections held in Ekiti State on Sunday was marred by violence as party delegates disagreed over the results of the exercise in some places visited by AIT.
Violence erupted in places like Aramoko Ekiti and Ido Ekiti shortly after results of the exercise were announced.
In Atamoko Ekiti, Lere Olayinka, a former aide to former governor Ayodele Fayose defeated Victor Adeyinka in the primary poll.

Olayinka described his victory as the will of God and promised to provide quality representation.
In Ido Ekiti, Babatunde Àjàyí defeated the secretary of the PDP in Ekiti State, Funmi Oguns.
In his speech after the exercise, Ajayi expressed appreciation and thanked delegates for the confidence reposed on him.
