The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has launched an e-registration and Continuous Voter Registration, CVR portal in Anambra State.
The party says it is hoping to use the registration exercise to boost its membership across the three hundred and twenty-six wards in the state as the November 6 governorship election draws near.
According to the chairman of the PDP e-registration and CVR drive across the country Governor Godwin Obaseki, the exercise is aimed at putting strategies in motion to ensure that the party returns to power in the 2023 general Elections.
Governor Obaseki, said Using November 6 2021 Governorship Election in Anambra state as a take-off point, the party is targeting to register two hundred and fifty thousand members.

The party’s Vice Presidential candidate in the 2019 Elections, Peter Obi, Governorship candidate of the party for the November 6, 2021, poll Valentine Ozigbo and other speakers believe that the strength of the party is at the wards and as such all hand must be on deck to change the political narrative of Anambra state and Nigeria at large.
The forum is optimistic that the e-registration and CVR drive which many described as the live wire of the party will aid the return of PDP to the seat of power in Anambra state and Nigeria.
