Party stakeholders, INEC officials as well as political observers, among others, gathered to elect who will fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming general elections.

Declaring the results, the National Party Returning Officer, Abba Grema, announced the immediate past Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, as the party’s candidate.

Being the only Bauchi State Governorship contestant who emerged as unopposed candidate under the umbrella of PDP, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, commended the conduct of the exercise, saying the journey has just begun.

He urged party members to cooperate, for the party to emerge victoriously, come 2023.

Commenting on the outcome of the Primaries, Bauchi State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hamza Akuyam, said the party has only one aspirant, who is the former Secretary To The State Government, as against the various insinuations, and that the party is satisfied with the conduct of the primaries.

Now that the Peoples Democratic Party in Bauchi State has produced candidates at various levels, the task now is for them to face the opposition, the All Progressives Congress, APC, and other political parties, in the forthcoming General Elections.
