Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has rejected a purported Certified True Copy, CTC of the Supreme Court judgement on the party’s leadership crisis, saying the document in circulation is fake.
In a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Jagundu, the PDP challenged the faction led by the interim Chairman, Tanimu Turaki to identify where the Supreme Court upheld the alleged suspension of its National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, stressing that the document in circulation did not meet the requirements for a properly certified court judgement.
The party says a careful review of the purported CTC showed that the pages were neither duly certified, stamped nor signed by any authorised court official in line with established legal procedures and should not be regarded as an authentic copy of the Supreme Court judgement.

The PDP also explains that assuming without conceding that the said CTC was officially released by the Supreme Court, the contents of the document only further affirm the defeat suffered by Kabiru Turaki faction from the Federal High Court up to the Supreme Court.
The PDP insists the Supreme Court did not suspend Samuel Anyanwu or any member of the party leadership and also did not direct the PDP Board of Trustees, BoT to assume control of the party, neither did it declare any vacuum within the party structure as the judgement is explicit, clear, and unambiguous.
The PDP reassures all its aspirants that it will participate in the 2027 general election without any legal challenge.
