The South East zone caucus of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has nominated Enugu State born politician, Sunday Kelly Enemchukwu Udeh-Okoye for the position of the Party’s National Secretary.
Udeh-Okoye is to replace Senator Samuel Anyanwu who is the PDP governorship candidate in the November 11, 2023 Imo State off-circle election.

The South East zone National Vice Chairman of the PDP, Ali Odefa disclosed this to Newsmen at the close of a reconvened meeting of leaders of the Party in the region after the first, held earlier in the week.
Ali explained that the zonal caucus agrees with the national leadership to make a replacement for the position of National Secretary of the Party to enable Senator Anyanwu focus without distraction on his campaigns and winning of the forthcoming Imo State governorship poll.
The meeting also resolved to massively mobilise its members and supporters in Imo State, and do everything within the law to ensure that its governorship candidate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu comes out victorious.
Leader of the Party in the zone and governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah as well as the zonal National Vice Chairman, Ali Odefa assured that the success of the Party’s reconciliations, consultations and consensus building efforts in the zone will be demonstrated in the coming Imo State governorship election.
