Former Governor of Adamawa state and one time Minister of Youth Development under President Goodluck Jonathan, Boni Haruna has called on the people of Adamawa state to disregard any other presidential candidate aside that of the PDP Atiku Abubakar for the February presidential election.

The former governor who is also a member of the PDP PCC made this known after a meeting of critical stakeholders of the PDP in Yola.

Haruna Boni served as Governor of Adamawa State between 1999 and 2007, being the first Governor after the Military finally handed over power to civilians in 1999.

He summons all critical stakeholders of his Eight years of administration as Governor of Adamawa State to discuss the future of Nigeria with former vice president Atiku Abubakar as the target leader.

Although now of different political parties and affiliations, the stakeholders believe that putting the interest of Nigeria ahead of any personal gain is paramount, especially as the Country tilts towards collapse except rescued through good governance.

According to him, those preaching the language of Presidential Candidates other than Atiku Abubakar will be resisted in the state because the February election will not be approached with sentiments but based on the capacity to provide the much needed leadership for the country.

A PDP Presidential Campaign office was also opened for operation in the state, during the meeting.
