PDP Welcomes Safe Return Of Kidnapped Oyo Students And Teachers

The Kabiru Turaki- led National Working Committee, NWC of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has welcomed the safe return of the students and teachers who were kidnapped in Oyo State some months ago.

The party which said this in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary Ini Ememobong, commend the security agencies and all individuals and organisations whose efforts contributed to the safe return of the victims.

While the faction says details of the rescue remain limited, it stresses that no one should be subjected to such trauma in the pursuit of education.

It calls on the Federal Government to take decisive steps to prevent a recurrence of such heinous acts as the protection of lives and property remains the first responsibility of government and is the irreducible minimum that Nigeria and its citizens deserve.
