Peoples Democratic Party presidential Aspirant and former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi has attributed the challenges in the nation to the failure of Nigerian leaders.
Obi made this known while in Akwa Ibom State to consult members of the party and national delegates ahead of the presidential primaries scheduled for end of the month of May.
Obi said the attitude of borrowing by government for consumables and the inability of leaders to take the right decision to pull the people out of poverty is the bane of Nigeria’s economic quagmire.
Obi said Nigeria must rejuvenate the power sector for urgent economic turn-around.
On the issue of security, the PDP aspirant said Nigeria must revert to the grassroot to end the challenges of insecurity.
The chairman of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Aniekan Akpan said Obi has the quality of a leader needed in Nigeria and commended him for honouring the party.
