Peter Obi finally intervenes in LP leadership crisis

The ongoing crisis in the Labour Party, LP is said to be receiving attention and would be addressed soon.
The party’s 2023 Presidential candidate, Peter Obi said this while answering questions from journalists during a briefing in Abuja, on the state of the nation.

After the 2023 elections, several crisis rocked the opposition LP and the most recent is the face-off between the party’s leadership and the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC over the controversial national convention held in Anambra State.

At the briefing, Obi assured journalists of an end to the crisis, saying that the issues in the Labour Party are nothing compared to those in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

On the alleged financial mismanagement in the party, Obi said external auditors have been engaged and the outcome will be made public when investigation is concluded.

The former Anambra State Governor called for more attention to be given to education and access to potable water in addition to the ongoing efforts to address the current economic situation in country which he said have become very critical to national development, and would pull many Nigerians out of poverty.
