Peter Obi kicks against mere sack of Service Chiefs

Vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2019 general elections, Peter Obi says the current insecurity ravaging the country needs more than just sacking the service chiefs, but a more creative and committed leadership.

Peter Obi who was guest lecturer at the Catholic Veritas University’s 8th Convocation Lecture also criticised the magnitude of borrowing by the government of the day and the poor state of country’s economy.

Before the convocation lecture by the former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, activities for the 8th Convocation of Veritas University started with a eucharistic mass, followed by the ground breaking ceremony for the Faculty of Law building and the inauguration of a police post to provide security for the institution and its host community

Peter Obi began by telling the graduating students that his generation has failed them and so they have to brace up for a tougher and difficult journey ahead.

Obi spoke further on where Nigeria stands in global development indices

On insecurity, the PDP Vice Presidential Candidate says the country needs more than sacking of the service chiefs.

Veritas Univerisity Vice Chancellor, Reverend Father Professor Hyacinth Ichoko confirmed that
a total number of 286 students graduated from the institutions’ 32 programmes.
