The Coalition for Truth and Justice has urged the Federal Government to immediately shut down the controversial “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council” (PFIPC) to stop it being used to facilitate further scams.
Reacting to the controversy in Abuja on Thursday, the group expressed concerns demanding an independent probe into how Matthew Adeniyi Adeyemi managed to operate the Council from the federal secretariat.
The group, however, cautioned critics from making inflamatory comments as investigation and prosecution of the suspects are ongoing.

Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga recently stated that the PFIPC does not exist and that Gbajabiamila never appointed Matthew Adeniyi Adeyemi.
Adeyemi insists that he paid 400 million naira to the chief of staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila, to secure the appointment and has an account with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) among others. He has promised to reveal the truth in court.
