The Crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Plateau state may have taken another twist as two Chairmen laying claim to the position expelled each other from the Party.

The Ishaya Itse, the faction had given the Rufus Bature faction two weeks to vacate the party Secretariat following the ripples generated in the aftermath of the October 10th, 2021 Congress in the State.

However, the drama continued on Wednesday when the Ishaya Itse Faction during a Press briefing suspended Rufus Bature and the Current Secretary to the State Government Prof. Danladi Atu from the Party with immediate effect for alleged Anti-party activities.

But the State Working Committee, SWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Plateau State under the Rufus Bature faction while reacting to the development also ratified the expulsion of Ishaya Itse from the APC.

In a statement signed by Sylvanus Naamang, the state APC Publicity Secretary on Wednesday stated that in a unanimous decision by the 17 members of the State Working Committee of the party, Itse’s expulsion was duly approved in line with the provisions of the APC constitution.

The statement further directed the immediate withdrawal of all privileges hitherto enjoyed by Ishaya Itse which include membership of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and access to any APC office or functions.
