Plateau Govt. Further Relaxes Curfew In Jos-Bukuru Metropolis

The Plateau State Government has announced a further relaxation of the curfew imposed on the Jos-Bukuru metropolis after Hoodlums infiltrated the #EndBadGovernance Peaceful Protest In Jos, the state Capital.

In a statement signed on Monday by the director of Press and Public affairs to Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Gyang Bere, says as from Tuesday, August 13, 2024, residents are permitted to engage in their lawful activities from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm daily, pending further review.

This decision, according to Bere, was reached by Governor Caleb Mutfwang, in consultations with security agencies and key stakeholders.

The Governor emphasized that this step reflects the government’s confidence in the improved security situation and its commitment to restoring normalcy across the state.

Governor Mutfwang expressed his profound gratitude to the people of Plateau State for their unwavering patriotism, resilience, and cooperation during the period of the curfew.

He urged all residents to maintain their collaboration with security agencies to ensure the continued safety and security of lives and property.
