The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, says stringent measures have been put in place by the Federal Government to stop the cycle of killings in Plateau State.
Gen. Irabor said this during a courtesy call on Governor Simon Lalong where he later addressed Plateau people during a town hall meeting, held at Government House.

The meeting which lasted for several hours is part of efforts towards finding lasting solutions to the crisis in Plateau State.
The Defence Chief said peace in Plateau, is peace in North Central which he said will ultimately extend to the whole country adding that President Buhari is desirous to see lasting peace returns to Plateau State.
He described the loss of lives as a result of the recent spate of violence as most unfortunate.
Plateau Governor, Lalong, applauded the Nigerian Armed Forces for the dogged and courageous role played in calming frayed nerves during the violence.
