In a bid to strengthen digital literacy and improve the quality of basic education in Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria the authorities have inaugurated a digital learning laboratory at Pilot Science Primary School, Bungha, in Mangu Local Government Area of the state.

The facility is expected to provide pupils and teachers with access to digital learning resources and broaden educational opportunities.

At the ceremony, Nigeria’s national anthem was recited by pupils in the Mwaghavul language reflecting efforts to promote cultural identity while advancing educational development in Plateau State.

The facility, provided by the Plateau State Government through the Universal Basic Education Board, is equipped with computers, internet connectivity, a reliable power supply and digital boards to support teaching and learning.

The initiative is expected to enhance digital literacy, promote interactive learning and equip pupils with skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world

Executive Chairman of the Board, Sunday Amuna, has called for the judicious use of the facility, urging the school management and the host community to take ownership of the project and ensure its protection and sustainability.

Beyond the digital learning laboratory, the Board has also extended its intervention to Mangu Secondary School, where a fully furnished hall was commissioned.

The projects form part of efforts to improve learning infrastructure and create a more conducive environment for education across Plateau State.
