Different groups of Plateau youths on Monday stormed the premises of the Plateau State House of Assembly following the unusual heavy presence of security operatives deployed to the Assembly.
Some of the youths who spoke to ait.live said they came following information reaching them that the state Assembly was sealed by the security operatives amidst alleged impeachment Rumours making the rounds.

Lawmakers in the state had over the weekend given Governor Simon Lalong two weeks ultimatum to address the security challenges being faced in the state but did not disclose what will happen after the two weeks.
As early as 6 am on Monday morning, there was an uneasy calm at the premises of the Assembly with the presence of security operatives with some police vans station at different locations.
Soon, the news filtered around, and youths began to arrive at the Assembly with placards carrying different inscriptions in solidarity with the Speaker and members of the Assembly.
They alleged that the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Ayuba Abok, is being threatened to resign his position.
A few hours later, another group of protesters arrived, this time, those in support of the Governor.
The Plateau State Government in a statement denied sealing the House of Assembly, an indication that suggests that the Political Space in the state would no doubt be charged in the coming days.
