The Ondo State Police Command says it has arrested two suspects who allegedly stoned a 35-year-old man, Olorunfemi Tope, a driver to death in Akure.
It was reported on Monday that Tope was killed by an angry mob for alleged reckless driving leading to a road crash that occurred in the Ijoka Area of Akure, the state capital.
The accident resulted in the death of two persons and six injured.
The Irate mob is alleged to have beaten and stoned Tope to death and set his car ablaze.
The state police command spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya said police detectives have arrested two suspects over the alleged jungle justice meted out on the deceased.

Omisanya said the suspects would be charged to court for murder and arson.
Meanwhile the ondo state acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa in a statement made available on Tuesday urged citizens to have trust in the rule of law, as government will not condone any form of mob action and hooliganism in the administration of Justice in the State.
