Katsina state commissioner of police, Sanusi Buba says, the command has succeeded in arresting 27-year old shafi’u haruna who allegedly killed his 14-year old girl friend hamsiya lawal of dorawar natibar in kankara local government area of the state over pregnancy issues.
Spokesperson of the command, Gambo isah who confirmed the incident to AIT says, the murder was committed sometime in december 2019 but the suspect has been on the run.

His successful arrest was as a result of a tip off received by the police in the area.
CP Buba further stated that during interrogation, the suspect confessed to have killed his girl friend following dispute over ownership of her pregnancy.
According to the suspect, he took the girl into the bush, strangled and smashed her brain with heavy stone killing her instantly.
