Wives of officers and Men of Mupol 8 barrack took to the streets of Jos on Friday afternoon to protest the killings of some of their husbands who were posted to the North East to fight the insurgency.
Although the press was barred from covering the procession, some of them who spoke to AIT also lamented poor service conditions for their husbands.

The women who began their protest from the Mopol 8 barrack along Jonah Jang way, headed to the state Police Headquarters causing traffic gridlock within parts of the metropolis.
By the time the protest got to the Plateau State Police Headquarters, members of the press were given a stern warning to leave the premises, while efforts to reach the command police spokesperson proved abortive.
