The Plateau State Police Command on Wednesday said it has arrested a middle age man who beheaded his wife and chopped off his daughter’s hand in the Kampala community of Jos North Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered, that the incident happened on the eve of Valentine’s Day when the woman who had left her husband after unresolved issues, returned home to pack her belongings.
A resident of the Kampala community, Lami Moses, who confirmed the incident said the suspect, Monday Chayi, after using an axe to cut his wife’s head, and chopped off his six-year-old daughter’s hand, Jessica.

According to Lami, the couple had been having marital issues before the wife eventually left the marriage with their little daughter.
The spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Alabo Alfred, while also confirming the incident, said the man has been arrested by policemen who were drafted to the community upon receiving the information.
He said he will be charged in court when an investigation is concluded.
