The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested 5 suspected ritualists who collected Two Million, Twenty-Five Thousand Naira from one Shamsu Adamu.

When they demanded more money and he could not meet up, he was asked to bring a child for sacrifice, or else he would face the wrath for disobeying them.

In view of that, he brought his daughter, Amina Shamsu.

Similarly, one Abubakar Muhammad, a commercial motorcyclist, was conveying two passengers, namely Abdullahi Bello and Jamilu Adamu, to Unguwar Mairago Village, in Birnin Kebbi LGA.

On reaching a sandy area, the cyclist slowed down and four people appeared with sticks and knives and started beating them.

Their shouts for help alerted the police at a nearby checkpoint who raced to the scene and successfully arrested one Bashar Abdullahi and Babangida Hassan, of the Shiyar Zabarmawa Area, in Birnin Kebbi.

A knife was recovered from them as exhibits, while the remaining two suspects took to their heels.

The two suspects are at the State Criminal Investigation Department for investigation.

CP Bello Sani has commended the promptness of the police officers in arresting the suspects, and charged others to emulate them, by always being vigilant and ready to respond to distress calls while on duty.
