Police in Katsina say they have succeeded in raiding terrorist camps in Jibiya and Batsari local government areas in collaboration with the vigilante and hunter groups, arresting one and neutralizing 5 others.
In a statement by the spokesman of the police, Assistant Superintendent Abubakar-Sadiq Aliyu, the operation was led by the Command’s Office in-Charge of Anti-kidnapping Unit and his counterpart from the State Intelligence Bureau.
They succeeded in raiding and dislodging several suspected terrorist camps.
He added that the areas are Marake, Garin Yara, and Garin Labo villages, all of Batsari Local Government Area, and the camp of one Audu Lankai, who is a suspected terrorists leader operating in the Jibiya Local Government Areas and its environs.

Aliyu further said, in the course of the operation, 18-year-old Abubakar Idris, suspected to be a terrorist was arrested, while 5 others were neutralized, and recovered 38 cows, 40 sheep, and 65 goats.
Police operatives say they are still scanning the scene for possible arrests of other members of the terrorists group and the recovery of more exhibits.
