The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspects over the mysterious demise of 19-month-old baby allegedly flogged to his death at Arise and Shine Nursery and Primary School in Asaba, South-South Nigeria.
The baby, Obinna Ohanabueze was allegedly inflicted with multiple cane injuries by the son of the school proprietress, Emeka Nwogbo after the hands and feet of the toddler were tied.
The proprietress of the school is reported to have struggled to revive the lifeless body of 19-month-old Obinna Ohanabueze, after he was allegedly flogged to death by her son.
Speaking to journalists at the State Police Command headquarters,

The State Commissioner of Police, Ari Mohammed who paraded the suspects however barred journalists from interviewing the. The mother of the deceased, Gift Ohanabueze did manage to give some light on the last moments with his son.
The great-grand Mother of the deceased, Francisca Odiakosa also narrated her encounter with the proprietress, hours before the toddler died.
The State Police Command also confirmed its collaboration with the State Government in ensuring justice is fully served.
