The Lagos state police command, Friday, arrested a grandmother, Fatimo Ganiyu, in Ikotun axis of the state for allegedly locking up her three grandchildren in a room for days.
The police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed this via his handle on ‘X’, said vigilant neighbours alerted the police about the situation of the children leading to their rescue and the arrest of the grandmother.
The children consisting two boys and a girl between ages two and four were allegedly locked up for days without food and water at Agodo Egbe in Ikotun area of Lagos.
Hundeyin who says investigation into the matter is ongoing, promised that the infants would receive proper care and attention and advised residents of Lagos to report any suspicious activity to the police.
