The family of an alleged victim of Yelwa Division Police Patrol Team brutality in Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria, has demanded justice over their slain son, Dauda Danladi.
The family members made the plea when AIT News visited the home of the victim, to get further facts of the incident.
The Police had in an earlier press release said that the victim died as a result of asthma.
According to the police, on Thursday at About 10:pm, a police patrol team raided a suspected criminal’s hideout at Yelwa Tsakani.

During the operation, the team received a distress call about the victim, who had slumped and was gasping for breath, and rushed him to the Abubakar Tafawabalewa University Teaching Hospital, where he died.
While at the house of the deceased, who got married recently, members of the family alleged that, their son was gruesomely murdered by the Nigerian Police, and therefore demanded justice.
The Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Sylvester, has ordered for discreet investigation, including autopsy, to ascertain the actual circumstances surrounding the incident.
