The Federal Capital Territory Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, says the command has declared total war against those using tinted vehicles to perpetrate criminal activities in the Federal Capital Territory.
Disu, who was addressing the media on the success of the newly constituted command’s tactical team said it is game over for criminal Gangs who rob commuters commonly called ‘one chance’ syndicates and other criminal elements in the Federal Capital Territory.
Before Olatunji Disu’s assumption of duty as the Commissioner of Police FCT, communities in the Federal Capital Territory were gradually becoming den of kidnappers especially in Bwari, Abaji, Kuje and Gwagwalada Area Councils.
Kidnapping became the norm as people including traditional rulers, security operatives and farmers were taken into captivity almost on a daily basis.
On assumption of office as police Commissioner in charge of the FCT, therefore, Disu rolled out his tactical operation strategies geared toward reducing the insecurity in the Territory.
The strategies are beginning to pay off.
Disu also said that the command would continue to hunt down all criminal elements terrorizing the FCT.
Items recovered from the suspects during the operation include cars of different brands, vandalized cables, Substances suspected to be hard drugs and other dangerous weapons.
