Police, hunters dislodge criminals from hideout near Cameroon border

Men of the Nigeria Police Force “Operation Puff Adder II” and hunters have dislodged criminals from their hideouts at Lamurde Hill and the National Park communities, connecting part of the Cameroun Republic and the southern part of Adamawa State.

A total of nine Camerounian military camouflage , a Cameroun National Flag and motorcycles, were among items recovered from the hideouts.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Ngoruje, in a press statement, said the operations were carried out by police operatives of Toungo Division, and the Special Hunters of Pulaaku Association, at Lamuda Hill, situated at a remote side of the National Park, in Toungo Local Government Area.
Nguroje described the successful raidb as a follow-up on cases bordering on kidnapping, armed robbery, banditry and unlawful possession of firearms.

The State Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Adamu, while commending the Divisional Police Officer, of Toungo and his men assured the people of Toungo and Adamawa State as a whole, of the command’s commitment to their security.
