The Benue State Police Command says it will reinforce the already existing restriction on the movement of motorcycles in Makurdi, the state capital.
A statement by the police public relations officer Sewuese Anene recalled that in May 2016, the state Governor, Samuel Ortom, had announced a restriction on commercial motorcyclists movement in Makurdi metropolis.
It therefore warned motorcyclists to restrict their movement to between 8pm and 6am as pronounced in order not to incur the wrath of the law.

“The Command has observed an increase in movement of motorcycles beyond 8 pm and they have therefore ordered their officers to reinforce the restriction in Makurdi for peaceful coexistence”. Anene stressed.
