The Ondo State Police Command has ordered a thorough investigation into the death of three siblings at a farm located around the Owena Army Barracks in Akure.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Abayomi, the victims were identified as eleven-year-old twins, Joshua and Jacob Jonah, and their five-year-old sister, Blessing.
The children reportedly accompanied their father, Samuel Jonah, to the farm on Friday, September 4,2026 .
The police said the children later left the farm for home but were discovered missing when their father returned.
A search operation was subsequently launched, and on Saturday, the bodies of the three children were found near the bank of a small river within the farm.
The Command said the circumstances surrounding the deaths remain subject to investigation.
It commiserated with the bereaved family and assured them of its commitment to establishing all relevant facts surrounding the incident.
