The police in Sokoto State say they have put in place security measures to forestall breakdown of law and order.
A statement by Zone 10 Police Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent, Adamu Abba advises people against any unlawful gathering capable of undermining the security of lives and property of the citizens within the State and throughout the zone.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police for the zone comprising Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States Sani Dalija, warned that anyone caught shall be made to face the full the law.

Members of the public are advised to be vigilant and report all suspicious activities, movements and actions of persons and individuals to the nearest Police Station for immediate action.
The statement adds that members of the Nigeria Police, the Nigeria Army and other sister security agencies have also been deployed to flash points and strategic locations to maintain peace and order within the zone.
