The Ondo State Police Command says it has deployed a special squad to Akunnu Akoko area to rescue kidnapped victims and arrest their captors.

The kidnappers had on Friday abducted all the passengers of an 18-seater bus, killing the driver and leaving behind only a little girl.

A statement issued by the State Police Command and made available to Journalists on Sunday says personnel drawn from various tactical units have been briefed and deployed to the area for rescue of the victims and possible arrest of suspects.

It says the Command assures people of the State and general motoring public not to panic as this isolated case does not determine the security status of the State.
