The Nigerian Police says it will comply with the court order stopping installation of a new Emir in Kano State following move by administration of Governor Abba Yusuf to reinstate 14th Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II.
State Commissioner of Police, CP Usaini Gumel said this while briefing journalists at the Command headquarters Bompai Kano following meeting with heads of other security agencies.
Security has been beefed up in and around the palace with operatives of various security agencies on ground.
The CP who was in company of Army commanders advised the general public to remain calm, patient, and to keep cooperating with security agencies and allow the court to decide the matter.
