Police have arrested 28 suspects over allegations of armed robbery, kidnappings and cultism with weapons and the sum of N6.4 million ash recovered from members of criminal gangs in Kwara State, North-Central Nigeria.
Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya who made this known while parading the suspects at the State Police Command headquarters said the development is worrisome.
The Commissioner however frowned at the challenges associated with the prosecution of criminal suspects in court which he described as technical hindrances.
The police boss while acknowledging the concerns of the public in adequately prosecuting criminal suspects said all is being done to get speedy convictions of criminal elements in the state.
