Police operatives from the Federal Capital Territory Command have rescued yet another hostage, Suleiman Sabo from his abductors in Sauka along the Airport Road in Abuja.
In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command, Josephine Adeh on Sunday said the rescue operation led to the arrest of one 32-year-old Muhammad Abel from Kogi State, North-Central Nigeria. An LAR rifle with 10 rounds of live ammunition were recovered from him.
The statement explained that the arrest was part of continued effort to rid the Territory of criminality undertaken by Police operatives attached to Iddo Divisional Headquarters who on Sunday, January 21 at about 1130hrs rescued the abducted victim, Suleiman Sabo in Sauka, along Airport Road, Abuja.

The victim who sustained some injuries from the abductors, is currently receiving medical attention, and would be reunited with his family once certified fit by the medical team.
The statement further said that the FCT Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, wishes to reiterate the Command’s commitment to rid the Territory of criminality in all its manifestations and ensure maintenance of peace for all residents. He equally urges residents to keep up swift rendition of distress call and promptly report suspicious activities.
