Oleh Divisional Police Patrol Team in Isoko-South Local Government Area of Delta State, South-South Nigeria rescue 63-year-old woman being led by her machetes wielding kidnappers to an abattoir, to be butchered.
The kidnappers on sighting the combined team of policemen and Irri vigilante members closing in on the isolated area in Irri-Aviara Community, fled from their victim.

Days after the police launched strategic manhunt for fleeing kidnappers, 26-year-old Davidson Odigho was arrested while his gang was in a scuffle with a Europe-based returnee, in an attempt to whisk away the victim to an unknown destination, using a Toyota Hilux without number plates.
Odigho who was abandoned by his gang after the failed attempt to kidnap the Europe-based returnee, led the Police to his house where one AK-47 rifle, 19 rounds of 7.62 millimetres live ammunition, one magazine, one pump-action gun and 26 live cartridges concealed in a sack and buried in the compound were all recovered.
The Delta State Police Command in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Bright Edafe says while Odigho is still undergoing intensive interrogation, its officers and men have commenced another manhunt to apprehend the other fleeing kidnappers.
