A popular fitness center, Eco-Fitness, located along 4th Avenue in Gwarinpa, Abuja’s largest residential district has been consumed by fire.
The incident happened while many registered gym members were going through their fitness routines.
One of them said about 50 people were inside when the fire started in the lounge area of the gym facility, but that everyone managed to escape.
Two fire service trucks arrived 30 minutes later, but could barely contain the flames.
