Nigerian businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu, known on social media as Obi Cubana, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The Anambra-born club owner, was said to have arrived the headquarters of the EFCC in Jabi, Abuja, at about 12 noon on Monday, and is currently being interrogated by operatives of the commission.
Alhough the allegations against him are still sketchy, a source disclosed that he is linked with alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
Speaking to ait.live spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed Obi Cubana’s arrest but said he could not speak further on it at the time of this report.

Obi Cubana made headlines in July 2021, when he hosted a lavish burial ceremony for his late mother in Oba, Anambra State where monies including foreign currencies were blatantly sprayed by guests.
The excessive display of wealth drew lots of comments from many Nigerians.
