The Federal Government says the Tinubu administration has recorded significant gains in stabilising the economy and enhancing national security through a range of policy reforms.
Speaking on Monday’s edition of Focus Nigeria on AIT, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, dismissed recent reports by the National Bureau of Statistics on multidimensional poverty, as well as findings by the World Bank alleging that a large portion of federation revenue is unaccounted for or classified as hidden expenditure.
He described the reports as misleading and questioned their credibility, insisting they do not reflect the current realities in the country.
The presidential aide maintained that the government remains focused on easing the burden on citizens, highlighting ongoing investments in infrastructure, healthcare, and social intervention programmes as part of efforts to improve living conditions.
He added that ongoing reforms will, in the long run, deliver tangible benefits and improve the overall well-being of Nigerians.
