President Muhammadu Buhari is today, commissioning the 326 kilometre Itakpe-Warri railway at the Goodluck Jonathan station Agbor, in Delta State.
Present at the ceremony performed virtually by president Buhari are the minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa and Edo State Governor elect, Godwin Obaseki.

The reactivation and modernization of the Itakpe-Warri railway was completed in July 2020, after series of federal government’s intervention.
With the commissioning, the railway is expected to begin full commercial activities.
