Delegates from the world’s most powerful countries have converged on New Delhi, the capital of India as the annual G20 Summit begins Saturday.
Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu who arrived India days before the summit to meet with major industry stakeholders was received at the venue of the summit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Modi inaugurated the meeting by calling on members to end a “global trust deficit” and announced that the bloc was granting permanent membership to the African Union in an effort to make it more representative.
President Bola Tinubu is expected to participate fully even as Nigeria is not a member of the G20 Summit.
