President Bola Tinubu has ended his working vacation and departed Paris, France, for Nigeria.
The President’s aircraft is expected to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, later today.
According to a statement issued by the Special adviser to the President on Information and strategy Bayo Onanuga on Tuesday, President Tinubu chose to return through Lagos to honour the memory of the late Chief MKO Abiola, the winner of the June 1993 presidential election.
The President will attend the premiere of a movie commemorating Abiola at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre, Iganmu, on Independence Day.
While in Lagos, Tinubu is also expected to hold strategic meetings with political leaders and associates ahead of the 2027 elections.
The President departed Abuja on August 30 for his working vacation, spending one week in London before proceeding to Paris.
During his stay in France, Tinubu held meetings with business leaders, including Vincent Bolloré of the Bolloré Group and Chairman of First Holdings, Femi Otedola.
He also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ogun State Government and DP World for the development of a Gateway Deep Seaport and Blue Marine Economic Zone in Ogun Waterside.
The project is expected to attract seven billion dollars in investment.
President Tinubu will return to Abuja after his engagements in Lagos.
