The wife of Nigeria’s President, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on women to speak out against gender-based violence and trafficking.
Addressing women from the 27 local government councils of Imo State at the grand finale of women August meeting in Owerri the state capital, the President’s wife urged women to take the bull by the horns in addressing gender-based violence.
Imo state Governor’s wife, Chioma Uzodimma, encouraged Nigerian women in position of authority to champion and protect the rights and privileges of women in the country.

Host Governor, Hope Uzodmma, while celebrating the women, thanked the wife of the president for attending the event and supporting the state with counterpart funding that will empower the women
The President’s wife supervised the empowerment of 200 women at the event.
