Civil rights activists are calling for justice following the gruesome murder of a 24-year-old undergraduate of the University of Ilorin, Blessing Olajide who was ganged raped before being killed.
The activists led a protest in Ilorin asking for a transparent investigation of the matter, describing the incident as one too many.
Until she was gruesomely raped and murdered, Blessing Olajide was a 300 level Agriculture undergraduate of the University of Ilorin who was few days shy of her 25th birthday.

The dastardly act was said to have been committed right in her house at Tanke area, along the University road.
The Kwara State Government and other lawmakers have equally called for thorough investigation into the crime.
State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Deborah Aremu, including the member of the State House of Assembly, Abolarin Gabriel, and an Assistant Chief Legal Officer of the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC Ahmad Rufai also condemned the act.
The police have promised to get to the root of the matter. Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.
